TOKYO, Japan – Stability and fit are at the core of the ECLIPSION series. The series is designed to handle even the most advanced or complex footwork, providing the user with confidence in every step and every jump. The redesigned POWER CUSHION ECLIPSION will be available in March 2023.

Now more than ever, as the game speeds up, shoe stability and fit are key requirements for fast paced, agile footwork. The new ECLIPSION provides the confidence for instant reaction time and propulsion with upgraded stability and a comfortable snug fit to play through long games.

The newly designed model utilizes a LATERAL SHELL and STABILITY REINFORCEMENT to prevent lateral shake during agile sidesteps. The LATERAL SHELL is the shell-like portion positioned to support the area that absorbs the most force, reducing lateral shake in sidestep footwork. The STABILITY REINFORCEMENT is composed of abrasion resistant artificial leather that stabilizes movement and improves lateral shake.

The Semi One-Piece Sole combined with RADIAL BLADE SOLE increases the overall grip and area of contact by integrating the outer rubber of the tread and heel with a ninja star rubber pattern calculated to ensure grip for sudden vertical, horizontal, and diagonal movements. This increases stability when landing and reduces the risk of sprains.  

To complement the grip, a secure upper with a comfortable fit is required. The polyurethane-based Durable Skin Light is an upper that combines rubber-like flexibility with the stiffness of hard film letting you play light on your feet while maintaining a secure and snug fit. The inner bootie has been reconstructed to provide the snug, comfortable fit required, while making the shoe easier to slip on and off when desired.

The POWER CUSHION ECLIPSION Z will be accompanied by the POWER CUSHION ECLIPSION X, an affordable stability model designed with the same performance concept.

The new ECLIPSION Z will be sported on court by the 2022 French Open women’s doubles champions, Tan Pearly and Thinaah Muralitharan (MAS) as well as 2022 European Championships women’s doubles gold medalists, Gabriela Stoeva and Stefani Stoeva (BGR).

By improving shock absorption, our POWER CUSHION technology transforms impact into energy.
